The iQOO 15 launched on October 20 2025, in China, when there was a launch event from iQOO. The iQOO 15 key specs including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Generation 5 Chipset, a Samsung 2K M14 OLED Display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a massive 7000mAh battery, and a 100W fast charger.

So the phone comes in Soaring Cloud, Legend Edition (White), Wilderness Edition (Light Green), Track Edition (Black / Matte Black). The box of the phone contains a 100W Vivo-branded Type-C to Type-C charger, a SIM ejector tool, and a warranty card. The phone itself features a premium feel with an aluminium frame construction, a minimal camera bump, a good build quality. Physical buttons include power, volume, and an IR Blaster on top, along with a noise cancellation mic and dual stereo speakers. The charging port and SIM tray are located at the bottom. The display is a 6.85-inch Samsung 2K M14 OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, promising smooth visuals and an excellent experience.

Performance and Benchmark

On powering up, the phone runs Origin OS 6 and houses a Snapdragon 8 Lite Gen 5 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage that delivers a flagship-level performance. The display boasts 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, ideal for gaming. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is quick and responsive.

Benchmark results from Geekbench 6 show a single-core score of 3368 and a multi-core score of 9712, with an “extreme stress” test revealing 46% stability, indicating some room for optimisation but good battery efficiency as the drain was only 6% during the test. The PUBG Mobile to test real-world gaming performance, noting the phone supports Ultra XT graphics at 120 FPS, which is better than some competitors like Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.


Gaming Experience

So playing PUBG on the large 6.85-inch 2K display, it feels smooth gameplay and minimal heating despite intense gaming. The phone handles game well with only minor lag. And also in Asphalt 9 the phone performs smoothly with impressive graphics and no stutter. The iQOO 15 is an excellent phone for gaming in its segment, offering features usually found in more expensive gaming phones like Red Magic or ROG.

RGB Lighting, Speaker Quality, and Display Highlights

The phone supports customizable RGB lighting effects for incoming calls, notifications, music playback, and power on/off, enhancing the gaming vibe with colourful blinking lights. The stereo speakers produce loud and clear sound, suitable for both gaming and media consumption. The display is further praised for its anti-reflective coating, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, and peak brightness of 600 nits. The slim bezels add to the immersive experience. The phone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, a feature usually reserved for flagship devices. The device weighs around 220-225 grams, which feels balanced for a large battery and screen.


Camera

The IQOO15 comes equipped with a versatile triple rear camera setup consisting of:

  1. A 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX921) with Optical Stabilisation (OIS)
  2. A 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom (Sony IMX882)
  3. A 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (JN1)

The front camera is a 32MP sensor capable of 100x digital zoom and 3x optical zoom. The multiple photo samples including 1x, 3x, 10x zoom shots, portrait mode, and macro shots, all of which display natural colours without oversaturation, a common issue with many Chinese phones. The images exhibit good dynamic range and sharpness, making the camera’s performance impressive for its segment. The selfie camera performs well, too, though it applies some skin smoothing typical of Chinese models.

So my opinion on the iQOO 15, I am impressed by overall package of this phone like its aggressive pricing in China (around ₹52,000 or approximately $700 USD), powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, fast UFS 4.1 storage, LPDDR5X RAM, smooth Origin OS 6 software, large 7000mAh battery with fast 100W charging, and capable camera system.
